Harry and Tasha

So I finished this back near the beginning of June, but things have been a bit crazy around here lately. My mother-in-law passed away, so we've been driving back and forth between here and my husband's parents' house practically every weekend. Between that and summer break (which means finding things for an extroverted nine-year-old to do every day), I've gotten a bit behind with personal projects.

This was a piece I did for my aunt, of my uncle and their cat. As our printer is still out of commission, this is also the first portrait I did without either using the lightbox or just freehanding; instead I used a grid. It feels less like cheating than the lightbox, but I can capture the likeness better with less frustration on my part.
